Mom of bride is called out after wearing bikini at her daughter’s wedding

A mom has been slammed for wearing a bikini under a sheer dress at her daughter’s wedding.

One of the most important wedding rules is the dress code, as well as the unwritten rule to never upstage the bride.

Well, one woman named Paulina didn’t follow those rules as she took the attention away from the bride with her unconventional outfit.

According to the Daily Star, the 57-year-old planned to wear a white gown but her daughter, named Jin, begged her not to upstage her bride so she decided to wear a sheer dress, that showed off her blue bikini underneath.

A picture of the mom was shared on Facebook and showed her with the brides. The woman in the suit is Jin, while the bride in the traditional white dress is Aky Niwa.

Despite looking stunning in the gown that showed off her amazing physique, many people criticized Pauline for her choice of clothing.

One user wrote: “That’s so inappropriate to wear underwear at a wedding.” while another said: “You’re not the bride and that’s not elegant at all.”

“The outfit is not appropriate for a wedding, I can’t imagine what the mother of the bride would say about this!” a third responded.

A fourth added: “I would have no professional pictures taken with her and made it a point to the photographer to delete any photos with her in them.”

Some users wrote that if they were in the bride’s position, they would’ve been outraged by the mom’s bold dress.

“I’d be fuming if I were the bride,” someone penned, while a second interjected: “Why would you wear a bikini to a wedding? You’re not at a beach and you are the mother of the [bride].”

Meanwhile, some people praised Pauline’s look, saying she rocked it well despite the commotion it has caused online.

One person wrote: “If you’ve got it, flaunt it,” and another said: “If I had this mommy figure I would wear it.”

Nonetheless, the wedding looked like it was a big success as pictures shared online show the excited couple after they tied the knot in front of family and friends.
