Kourtney Kardashian appears to come out as autosexual

Fans have been wondering whether or not Kourtney Kardashian has fully come out as autosexual after the star released an article on her lifestyle website.

Taking to Poosh back in 2020, the 44-year-old reality TV star published a piece titled ‘Are you low key autosexual?’ where she discussed the possibility of everyone, including herself, being on the spectrum of autosexuality.

For those of you who might not be aware, being autosexual refers to those who are “more attracted to themselves than to others and may prefer masturbation to sex with a partner.”

Kourtney and Casey Tanner, who is a therapist and founder of QueerSexTherapy, defined it as: “…A trait wherein one is turned on by engaging in their own eroticism.”

“While masturbation is the most obvious example, autosexuality may extend beyond sexual behavior to include feeling a longing or desire for oneself,” Tanner explained as part of the article. “It can also be the ability to turn oneself on through looking at, visualizing, touching, or smelling oneself.”

She also added that, like most labels, autosexuality also appears on a spectrum.

“Like most human characteristics, autosexuality is a spectrum – and the majority of us are on it! Some may identify as exclusively autosexual, in which case they might consider autosexuality their sexual orientation. Most people, however, incorporate autosexuality into a larger sexual repertoire that also includes being turned on by partnered sex,” Tanner said.

The article then goes on to detail some simple, everyday things that could make one feel attracted to themselves, including wearing sexy lingerie “even if your partner hardly gives it a second glance”, doing your hair and makeup, or washing yourself “lovingly”.

“If feeling sexy independent of someone else has ever turned you on, that’s autosexuality, and it’s totally normal,” the Kardashian added.

Tanner also explored the idea that by being able to turn one’s self on, we move into an entirely different “sensual headspace.”

“When we look at or fantasize about ourselves, we are in touch with our bodies and senses,” she stated. “Getting turned on by oneself does not mean you think you’re better than other people, that you’re selfish, or that you’re not attracted to your partner(s). Rather, it’s one additional tool in your box for sparking desire and passion.”

The article concluded with a message urging readers to become at one with themselves and literally “enjoy yourself” without the pressure of feeling self-centered or narcissistic – it’s actually a more physical form of self-love apparently and you know what? I’m kind of here for it.

Kourtney is living proof that you can be autosexual and still enjoy being in a healthy and loving relationship, which she appears to be with her husband Travis Barker.

Last year, the pair welcomed their first child together, sharing pictures of little Rocky a few weeks after he was born.

In the photos, which were shared on Instagram, the couple were seen dressed in all black, while they cuddled their little one, first in a group shot and later in individual photos.

The caption of the post read: “ROCKY” with a black heart.

Kardashian Barker is also mom to daughter Penelope Scotland, plus sons Reign Aston and Mason Dash, with her ex Scott Disick.

Barker also shares daughter Alabama Luella and son Landon plus stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya with his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler.
