Blind mystic Baba Vanga made multiple predictions about the future but one for 2023 actually came true.
Everyone and their mom claims to know exactly what the future holds.
Either from being very clued up on current affairs, being a ‘psychic’ or just getting lucky, the internet is filled with people who make predictions about what is next for humanity.
And while it is often brushed aside or forgotten when predictions don’t come true, it is always a little eerie when they do happen.
Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, also known as Baba Vanga, is one of the most notable figures to have built a notorious reputation for her predictions for the future.
Born in 1911, Vanga was blind since childhood but claimed to be able to see all sorts of events set to come in the future.
She passed away in 1996 but her predictions had seemingly already started coming true, with the Chernobyl disaster and Princess Diana’s death both said to be events Vanga saw coming.
She also reportedly predicted the date of her own death, Barack Obama’s presidency and the 9/11 attacks.
And chillingly, one of her 2023 predictions has also come true.
However, it is also worth highlighting the ones that didn’t happen.
Vanga is said to have predicted that the world would have ‘designer babies’ grown in laboratories, with parents being able to select their physical traits.
While genetic engineering has been making leaps and bounds over the past decade, there is nowhere in the world where this prediction is a reality.
She reportedly also predicted a terrible disaster that would see a nuclear plant explosion release toxic gas that settles over Asia.
While 2023 was a tense internationally political year, the use of nuclear weapons has not come to pass. Getting more specific, there has been no disaster that resulted in a toxic nuclear gas over the Asian continent.
Vanga is also said to have predicted a terrible solar storm this year.
While solar activity is a lot more regular than you might think in 2023, there were multiple notable solar flares that occurred.
X-class flares are big major events that can trigger planet-wide radio blackouts and long-lasting radiation storms and there have been 12 X-class flares this year.
In addition to this, NASA confirmed on December 14 that its Solar Dynamics Observatory, which watches the Sun constantly, captured an image of the latest solar flare event.
Vanga also made a slew of terrifying predictions for 2024 so only time will tell if they are more accurate than this year.
