Celine Dion issues savage warning to Donald Trump after he used her song in a rally
|Celine Dion has brutally called out Donald Trump for using her music at a recent presidential campaign event.
The former president of the United States – who is running as the Republican nominee in the 2024 presidential elections – is known for blasting out different songs as he takes to the stage.
For his rally in Bozeman, Montana, on Friday (August 9), the 78-year-old decided to play Dion’s ‘My Heart Will Go On’ before he greeted supporters.
The Academy Award-winning ballad was featured on the soundtrack of the 1997 hit film Titanic, which starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.

As the song was seemingly played without the 56-year-old singer’s permission, she issued a savage warning via her management, making it clear that she does not approve of Trump’s use of her song.
The brutal statement was shared on her social media page and it read: “Today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine Dion singing ‘My Heart Will Go On’ at a Donald Trump / JD Vance campaign rally in Montana.
“In no way is this use authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use,” they said, questioning: “… And really, THAT song?”
Many delighted fans took to the comment section to applaud the last line of the statement. One person reacted: “‘… And really, that song?’ AUNTY CÉLINE IS PISSEDT” while a second said: “‘…and really THAT song?’ is sending me into orbit!”
A third added: “Hahahhaha! This post wins the internet today!”
The Trump campaign has not responded to the statement.

The vocal powerhouse made a jubilant return to the stage last month at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, singing a beautiful rendition of Edith Piaf’s ‘L’Hymne A L’Amour’ from the Eiffel Tower.
It was her first performance since revealing she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) in 2022.
According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, stiff person syndrome is a rare autoimmune neurological disorder that most commonly causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms that come and go and can worsen over time. Other symptoms can also include slurred speech and double vision.
After her emotional performance, Dion took to X (formerly Twitter) to mark the momentous occasion, writing: “I’m honored to have performed tonight, for the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, and so full of joy to be back in one of my very favorite cities!
“Most of all, I’m so happy to be celebrating these amazing athletes, with all their stories of sacrifice and determination, pain and perseverance,” she continued.
“All of you have been so focused on your dream, and whether or not you take home a medal, I hope that being here means that it has come true for you! You should all be so proud, we know how hard you have worked to be the best of the best. Stay focused, keep going, my heart is with you!” Dion concluded.
