Big Bang Theory Actor Accidentally ‘Totally Exposed’ Herself In Front Of Crew On Set Of Show
|You’ve probably heard about the time she faced an embarrassing “masturbation” misunderstanding during her first day on set back in 2009. But, have you ever heard the hilarious tale of how she ended up “totally exposing” herself during another shoot?
The whole thing happened during the filming of the Halloween episode in season six, titled “The Holographic Excitation.” In the episode, you might remember how the gang dresses up for Halloween, and Bernadette and her husband Howard go all out by transforming into Smurfs.
In a funny moment, Bernadette jokes in the episode that she’ll be scrubbing that paint off her “smurf” for weeks.
But, as it turns out, that line was truer than anyone could have imagined for Rauch herself.
After covering themselves in blue, the real challenge for Rauch came when it was time to get it all off.
She shared the story of a paint-related mishap in her dressing room—thanks to Helberg for kindly bringing it up in front of the PaleyFest crowd.
Helberg added his own thoughts on the whole process, mentioning how tedious it was to get both the paint on and off.
“We both had to sit next to each other and there’s just a point where you just start to like go into kind of a meditative state,” he recalled.
“And then they had to take it off and I was sitting next to Melissa. I finished first, but then you later realised something horrible…”
Rauch chimed in, explaining how late it had gotten as they tried to finish removing the blue paint from her body.
But, that wasn’t the end of it. As her makeup team worked to clean the last bits of paint, things took a turn for the awkward.
“It’s two dudes and then my regular makeup artist – who went out of the trailer to to get some more hot towels. And I’m in a bodysuit underneath this dress and they were like, ‘Could you just lift up your legs to get the rest of the makeup out from under your legs?’
“So I lift my legs up and close my eyes, and I hear one of the guys go, ‘Huh’. And I just thought oh they’re they’re just telling jokes back and forth to each other. Then I look in the mirror, and I was like, ‘What’s that? What is that?'” she recounted.
Definitely not how anyone wants to end their workday! But Rauch had the perfect response to salvage the situation.
She described how she played it off, saying, “Then I put my legs down and then just looked at them and said, ‘Long night’. That is, that’s the tale of my Smurfette.” Honestly, what a way to handle an awkward situation!
